Orca Whalers (30 minute sessions) The emphasis of this introductory level is to teach young swimmers the basics of all the swim strokes. Children in this level should be comfortable in the water with a coach. The coach's job is to take that comfortability to a level of confidence. Swimmers should be on time and ready to swim for every session. Goggles are not necessary at this level but welcome if your child feels comfortable wearing them. Girls with longer hair should wear swim caps.
Killer Whalers (45 minute sessions) This level is for children with some swimming experience and a good level of confidence in the water. Swimmers in this level will learn and develop competitive swim strokes and gain endurance in the water. Parents should expect a lot of drills at this level. These drills are a breakdown of various swim strokes. When children master these drills, they develop into strong little swimmers with awesome technique!
